The Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Virtual Crunchyroll Expo has revealed a slate of new titles heading to the platform, as well as a sneak peek at Fena: Pirate Princess, a new book announcement, and more!
Titles Heading to Crunchyroll
High Guardian Spice
An upcoming Crunchyroll Original series from creator Ray Rodriguez. It follows the adventures of four students at High Guardian Academy! See their adventure as they make new allies, face off against enemies, and discover lost legacies. A new trailer for the series, as well as new key art, was revealed. The series is heading soon to Crunchyroll.
Muv-Luv Alternative
A sci-fi thriller story about how humanity both survives and dies at the brink of total extinction. It will be heading to Crunchyroll this fall.
The Faraway Paladin
An anime series about a young boy raised by three undead, who heads out on an adventure to discover the secrets of the world, and to ultimately become a paladin. It will begin streaming on Crunchyroll this fall.
The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest
The world’s most powerful sage is reincarnated, and he must now prove his skills in a world that thinks he is a failure. This series heads to Crunchyroll in January 2022.
Love of Kill
The story of two very different assassins forced into each other’s lives, this “Assassin x Assassin” thriller will be stream on Crunchyroll in 2022.
Skeleton Knight in Another World
An isekai fantasy series that tells the story of a Skeleton Knight on the accidental quest to make the world a better place. This title is coming soon to Crunchyroll.
More was revealed about Fena: Pirate Princess, the upcoming series coming from Crunchyroll and Adult Swim. In a panel featuring series director Kazuto Nakazawa, Producer Rui Kuroki from Production I.G and Background Artist Yusuke Takeda, who discussed what it was like to bring the tale of pirate samurais to life. Fena: Pirate Princess premieres on August 14th.
Crunchyroll has also revealed the cover for the upcoming book “Essential Anime.” A guide that highlights 50 classic and iconic anime series and films, it dives into their history, impact, and legacy, both in Japan and the West. Essential anime will be released in 2022 and is available for pre-order now.
