‘I Am Not Starfire’ Explores What It Means To Be A Superhero’s Daughter

DC has released a trailer teasing the story for their upcoming graphic novel, I Am Not Starfire, and it looks like a fun and unique story of what it means to be the daughter of an iconic superhero.

Mandy isn’t sure who she wants to be, but she knows who she is not.

I Am Not Starfire is an upcoming young adult graphic novel written by New York Times Bestselling Author Mariko Tamaki with art by Yoshi Yoshitani. The story follows Mandy, the daughter of the popular hero Starfire, as she deals with what it means to be a teenager heading into adulthood, being the daughter of an alien superhero, and what she wants for herself.
