It might seem like only yesterday when the world was first introduced to the Elric brothers, but this year marks the 20th anniversary of when the Fullmetal Alchemist manga series was published. A landmark anniversary, Square Enix has teased the release of a new mobile game based on the series as part of celebrating it.
Fullmetal Alchemist began as a manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa and published by Enix in 2001 (later Square Enix). The series follows the Elric brothers on a journey to find the legendary philosopher stone and return their bodies to normal. The manga was immensely well. It would receive two anime adaptions, two theatrical movies, a live-action movie, video games, and more!
It is now considered a classic of the anime genre.
While there is little detail about what Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile will be, the official site says more information will be released this winter.
