Virtual Crunchyroll Expo Announces More Guests, An Anime Premiere, And A Pet Cosplay Contest!

It is almost time for Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021. The amazing anime summer event set for this August has announced even more guests, the premiere of a new anime series, the start to their adorable pet cosplay contest!

Anime voice actors and creative staff are heading to New Crunchy City!

Junya Enoki, the voice actor for “JUJUTSU KAISEN’s” Yuji Itadori, will be making an appearance! He has also provided the voice for Pannacotta Fugo in “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind,” Nasa Yuzaki in “TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You,” Jack in “BEASTARS,” and Senjuro Rengoku from “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train.”

What would you do if you were not only destined to be the bad guy, but all paths lead to your defeat? Hopefully, Catarina can figure something out in “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X.”

Maaya Uchida, who voices Catarina Claes from “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X,” will be stopping by New Crunchy City! She also voices Melty Melromarc in “The Rising of the Shield Hero” and Norman from “The Promised Neverland.”

Sumire Uesaka, who plays the part of Susanna Randall in “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X.” She also provides the voice for Karin Nanase in “In/Spectre,” Yuni in “Star Twinkle PreCure,” and Aya Arisugawa “TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You.”

Can high schooler Naoya Mukai handle having two girlfriends? See a unique kind of love triangle in “Girlfriend, Girlfriend.” Premiering on Crunchyroll this Summer.

• Ayane Sakura, the voice of Saki Saki. She also voices Ochaco Uraraka in “My Hero Academia” and Gabi Braun in “Attack on Titan.”
• Azumi Waki, the voice of Nagisa Minase. She is also the voice for Hinata Tachibana in “Tokyo Revengers.”
• Junya Enoki voices Naoya Mukai, will also appear at the panel to discuss the series. 

“The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” is a horror mystery anime where bookstore employee Mikado meets the exorcist Hiyakawa and must help him with exorcism duties. Little does he know what dark adventure is ahead for the pair. The series premieres this October.

• Nobunaga Shimazaki is the voice of Kosuke Mikado and also appears in “Black Clover” as Yuno, “Fruits Basket” as Yuki Sohma, and “Free!” as Haruka Nanase.
• Wataru Hatano is the voice of Rihito Hiyakawa and is known for his work in “My Hero Academia” as Causative.

“SAKUGAN” is an original anime about a father and daughter on an epic journey to uncover the truth, filled with danger. The series will stream the world premiere at Virtual Crunchyroll Expo, with the official premiere set for Crunchyroll this October.

• Kanon Amane is the voice of Memempu, the heroine of SAKUGAN. She was chosen for the role out of more than 1,400 applicants!
• Takayuki Funahashi, the producer of SAKUGAN.

V-CRX has also announced that DJ TeddyLoid will be a musical guest, playing a special set at the halftime show for Crunchyroll-Hime’s Cosplay Cup.

Pets get to cosplay too!

And for those of you with animal friends, V-CRX wants to give you the chance to show off your pet’s cosplay! Submissions are currently being accepted on Twitter now using the hashtag #VCRX alongside your pet’s name, their character, and a photo of your animal companion in their anime cosplay. They will be shown during the pre-show for Crunchyroll-Hime’s Cosplay Cup.
