Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, an anime film from director Kyohei Ishiguro, is heading to Netflix this July!
Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop follows a boy, who has difficulty talking to others, and the shy girl who wears a mask to hide her braces that he meets, their connection growing stronger throw sharing music and messaging each other, it is a unique yet relatable, presented beautifully through colorful art and vibrant animation.
The film is by Japanese animation studios Signal.MD and Sublimation. Directed by Ishiguro, the film was written by Dai Sato, with the character designs by Yukiko Aikei. The film helped celebrate Japanese Film/Theater company Flying Dog’s 10th anniversary.
Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop will premiere on Netflix on July 22, 2021.
