It has been a long wait for the premiere of Adult Swim’s Uzumaki adaption but a new update video and teaser are sure to make fans very excited! The video has the series director Hiroshi Nagahama given an update on where the series currently is at and what viewers can expect from this tale of spiraling dread.
Uzumaki is an adaption of Junji Ito’s 1980’s horror manga of the same name. The series tells the stories of the citizens of Kurouzu-Cho, a town cursed with supernatural events all tied to spirals. It is considered an iconic manga and one of the best in the genre of horror.
The anime series is animated by Drive and co-produced by Production I.G. USA and Adult Swim and will be completely in black and white.
Uzumaki heads to Adult Swim’s Toonami in October 2022.
Haven’t seen this manga in ages, gives me the goosebumps when I first read it in Kreko. Definitely a worthy horror manga to get animated
