The much anticipated NEO: The World Ends with You has gotten a July 27th release date for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, alongside a new release date announcement trailer.

The World Ends with You was released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS. It followed a teenage boy named Neku who is forced to participate in the Reaper’s Game in Tokyo’s Shibuya shopping district. He must team-up and learn to trust strangers to survive. Designed by the same team that worked on the iconic Kingdom Hearts series, including Tetsuya Nomura. The game was later ported to iOS and Android devices, and eventually, the Nintendo Switch with The World Ends with You: Final Remix.

NEO: The World Ends with You will be another dive into the Reaper’s Game and the beautiful rendition of Shibuya, now in 3D. Familiar faces await as the characters seek to survive. Character designs will be Tetsuya Nomura, Gen Kobayashi, and Miki Yamashita.

NEO: The World Ends with You will be available on July 27th for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. A PC version is also in development. The World Ends with You: The Animation is also now streaming on Funimation.
