It’s nearly time to put the gloves back on, as MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD arrives in the ring this April!
Seven years since the legendary champion “Gearless” Joe changed his name to NOMAD and stood again on the underground ring. To live the dream again….
Megalobox originally began in 2018 as a commemorative anime series celebrating the 50th anniversary of Ashita no Joe. Set in a not too distant future where the popular sport of Megalo Boxing, similar to modern boxing but the competitors wear metal rigs on their arms, is all the rage. One underdog sets out to win it all as he faces-off against devastating opponents.
The series was directed by Yō Moriyama and written by Katsuhiko Manabe and Kensaku Kojima. It received both critical and fan acclaim for its action, art style, and gripping narrative.
Megalobox 2: Nomad will have the same creative team behind it, including music by Mabanua, which is sure to make fans very happy.
Megalobox 2: Nomad will head to Funimation this April. Stay tuned for more information. You can stream the series first season by heading to Crunchyroll and Funimation, now!
