HBO Max Is Working On An Adult Velma Series, As Well As ‘The Boondocks’ And ‘Clone High’ Reboots

As reported by Variety, HBO Max has announced several adult animation series heading to the platform, including a new animated Scooby-Doo series focusing on Velma Dinkley, who will be voiced by Mindy Kaling.

The series, titled “Velma,” will focus on the origin story of the iconic character. Mindy Kaling, in addition to voicing the character, will also be an executive producer alongside Charlie Grandy, Howard Klein, Sam Register, with Warner Bros. Animation handling the animation. 10 episodes have been ordered.

HBO Max also revealed that the highly-anticipated Clone High reboot will also be heading to the platform, as well as the reboot of The Boondocks.
