One of the ultimate 80s TV shows, Punky Brewster, is making a return and has offered a first look thanks to a new trailer.
The Punky Brewster revival series sees the return of Soleil Moon Frye and Cherie Johnson as their respective characters. Now all grown-up, Punky is raising her three children all on her own following a divorce. In this time of change for her and her family, Punky meets a young girl in need of a home that reminds her of her younger self.
Punky Brewster originally ran from 1984-1987. It followed a young imaginative girl named Penolpe (nicknamed Punky), who is raised by a kind-hearted foster parent. The two learning about what it means to be part of a family. It would go on to get an animated spin-off.
The Punky Brewster revival series will premiere on February 25, 2021, on the Peacock streaming service.
