He must team-up and learn to trust strangers to survive. Designed by the same team that worked on the iconic Kingdom Hearts series, including Tetsuya Nomura. The game was later ported to iOS and Android devices, and eventually, the Nintendo Switch with The World Ends with You: Final Remix.
A much-anticipated sequel, NEO: The World Ends with You will be another dive into the Reaper’s Game and the beautiful rendition of Shibuya, now in 3D. Familiar faces await as the characters seek to survive. Character designs will be Tetsuya Nomura, Gen Kobayashi, and Miki Yamashita.
An anime series was also be released next year, it will be directed by Kazuya Ichikawa, with character designs also by Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi. DOMERICA and SHIN-EI ANIMATION are behind the series production.
NEO: The World Ends with You will be released in Japan for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in the summer of 2021. No word yet on a western release at the time of writing.
