Today, Anime NYC Powered by Crunchyroll and Anime News Network has announced the launch of “Anime News Network Connect presented by Anime NYC,” a series of ongoing online panels that will start with the online premiere of the Crunchyroll Original series Gibiate!

Gibiate is set in a future where monsters called Gibia roam the streets, with Samurais and Ninjas tasked with defeating them. The series has original character designs by Yoshitaka Amano, well known for his work on the Final Fantasy series. The Anime News Network Connect’s premiere will include a Q&A with Gibiate Producer Ryō Aoki and Director Masahiko Komino hosted by ANN Editor at Large Mike Toole.
The Anime News Network Connect airing of Gibiate’s first episode is set for July 14th. A day before it premieres on Crunchyroll!

Anime News Network Connect will have anime premieres, interviews with anime creators and publishers, and the chance to enjoy new content with the other fans! The anime community will have a way to stay connected and enjoy their fandom together while maintaining social distance. New episodes of Anime News Network Connect are planned to stream across the summer and fall!
