At NT, we want to make sure that the social strength of conventions, the connections they offer, and the sense of belonging, is still available, especially in these trying times. So, we will be converting our Un-Conventionally Cool series into the Un-Conventionally Cool Con! A set of articles where we will bring you cosplay, our own artist alley, “panels,” community spotlights, and so much more! All the excitement of a convention without the walking or expensive con food.

Amid the difficult state the world finds itself in during the outbreak of Covid-19, social distancing is being recommended by medical experts. As a result, events have been canceled, and public gatherings are ill-advised, if not banned in some places. This has hit the counter-culture convention scene hard, canceling most events all the way through till mid-summer (at the very least).
