As reported by Hollywood Reporter, a new prequel series set in the world of 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast is currently being developed for Disney+.

Currently, no title for the project is given, but it will be a six-episode musical with Gad set to co-create, write, and work alongside “Once Upon a Time” creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

No other actors from Beauty and the Beast 2017 are currently set to return, but it has been reported that there is still a chance some may still join the project.

There is currently no word yet on a release window.
