We reported on Crunchyroll’s partnership with anime companies around the world to raise donations to aid Australian wildlife affected by the recent wildfires. Well, after a successful campaign, they not only met their goal–they surpassed it!

A partnership between Crunchyroll, Funimation, AnimeLab, Madman Entertainment, Wakanim, Aniplex, and more, Anime Heroes for Aussie Wildlife raised over $190,000 AUD (around $125,305 USD) from donors across the anime community. 344 donors from the Crunchyroll community raised the money in under two months.
Donations raised will go directly to the non-profit Wildlife Victoria, an organization offering emergency response services by offering to help with sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife.
The money is going to help greatly in the efforts to help the wildlife of Australia and shows just what happens when the anime community comes together for a cause.
