As reported by Siliconera, a recent Famitsu interview with Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba of Platinum Games has given excited fans a bit of an update for just Bayonetta 3 is doing.
During an interview about the recently released Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle, game director Kamiya announced that Bayonetta 3’s development is “progressing smoothly.”
“Bayonetta 3‘s development is progressing smoothly. Actually, there’s a lot of info hidden in the teaser announcement in 2017.”

The original Bayonetta 3 teaser was released in 2017, so fans have had a bit of wait to hear how it’s going, though many must be thankful that the legendary studio is taking its time.

The interview also went on to have a brief mention of Viewtiful Joe, showing Kamiya still has an interest in the franchise (though it still is currently owned by Capcom).
“I hope Viewtiful Joe will also get some focus. That was the first game I included slow motion in. We added Dante on the PS2 version.”
