As reported by Variety, possessed doll turned evil robot (in last year’s weird reboot), Chucky, is getting his own TV series on the SYFY network!

The new series is called “Chucky,” and will focus on a “vintage Chucky doll” discovered in a yard sale, right before a suburban town’s peaceful surface life is made into chaos with a terrible series of murders that begin to expose the resident’s secrets. Fans of the Chucky franchise can reportedly expect allies and enemies from Chucky’s past to arrive, set to reveal the nature of the ever demonic doll.
The original Child’s Play franchise first started in 1988, before spawning six sequels and its poorly received 2019 reboot. The series is SYFY’s first outing with the character since they got the TV rights to the movies last year.
CHILD’S PLAY Official Trailer #2 – (2019)
No word yet on a release date or the number of episodes fan can expect, but let’s hope that this marks the return of some of the franchise’s fan favorites, like Jennifer Tilly.
