Politician Lai Pin-yu adds another cosplay appearance to her impressive ever-growing list.

As elements of nerdom enter higher and higher up the social consciousness, one Taiwanese politician has displayed her love of a certain fandom, to the delight of people all over the world.

Lai Pin-yu is campaigning for a seat as a Democratic Progressive Party candidate. Her latest major appearance was at the Taiwan Grand Triumph concert, where she addressed the crowd as Neon Genesis Evangelion tsundere, Asuka Langley Soryu.

Quickly becoming a sensation, this is not the first time she has displayed her anime fandom while campaigning, cosplaying as Sailor Mars on an event’s poster.

It will be interesting to see what character she cosplays next!
