The rumored Resident Evil 3 remake has been officially confirmed today thanks to Capcom and the game’s first official trailer.

Resident Evil 3 Announcement Trailer:

Recreating the story of Jill Valentine’s struggle to survive as Racoon City falls apart, the game is considered a classic portion of the franchise. The announcement was made along with a video from the game’s devs detailing the changes they made to the story and the inclusion of the new online Resident Evil Resistance Multiplayer experience.

Resident Evil 3 Special Developer Message:

The same experience that lucky fans were able to enjoy earlier this year via a beta, Resident Evil Resistance is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game where 4 players try to survive the monsters and traps set up by a 5th player. A great way to create challenging multiplayer, and still have it feel like it fits into the Resident Evil world.

Resident Evil 3 will be available on April 3rd, 2020, for PS4, Steam, and Xbox One.
