Hideki Kamiya And Ikumi Nakamura Tease That “Ōkami Is Going To Be Back”

Very exciting news was revealed today thanks to one of the video game industry’s most fun game developers, Ikumi Nakamura, and that is the desired return of the Ōkami franchise in the form of a new sequel from the original game director!

In a twitter post, Nakamura is seen hanging with the legendary game developer and Ōkami’s director, Hideki Kamiya. While standing in PlatinumGames, which Kamiya co-founded, the duo expresses that they would love to make a new entry in the Ōkami franchise, which hasn’t seen a new narrative story added since Ōkamiden in 2010.

Fans are delighted by the news that the franchise hasn’t been forgotten, and this likely works well with Capcom’s newly stated interest in returning to some of its older and forgotten IPs.
