DEVILMAN Crybaby director Masaaki Yuasa has been announced as the director for the upcoming Netflix anime adaption of the disaster sci-fi novel, “Japan Sinks.”
Based on the 1973 novel by a Japanese writer, Sakyo Komatsu, the story if Japan Sink’s is about a major disaster hitting Japan, it has become what is considered a classic.
Set for a 2020 release, the anime adaption is going to run for 10 episodes, with Pyeon-Gang joining Masaaki Yuasa as the series director. The character designs are being done by Naoya Wada, and the animation handled by anime studio Science Saru Inc.
It will be interesting to see what this legendary team does with this classic novel.
