The R-Rated Banana Splits Movie Has Released Its First Trailer

SYFY has released the first trailer for the upcoming horror movie adaptation of The Banana Splits!

Based on the 1960’s variety children’s show, SYFY revealed their dark adaption earlier this year. The horror movie takes the idea of The Banana Splits show and will follow a boy named Harley and his family during a trip to a taping of the show. Things go weird and suddenly the halls become filled with bodies. The film is being developed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment via Blue Ribbon Content for Syfy. It will star Dani Kind, Finlay Wojtak-Hissong, Romeo Carere, Steve Lund, Sara Canning and will be directed by Danishka Esterhazy.

The Banana Splits Movie is currently slated for a summer 2019 Blu-Ray/DVD release, SYFY will be premiering the film later on in the year.
