Anime NYC 2018: Part Time Shuffle

So a bit of a confession, I was a fan of Part Time Shuffle long before Anime NYC 2018 and made it one of missions to make sure to stop by.

And now we are even greater fans now!

Part Time Shuffle is by comic artist James Stanley, and is an action packed love note to the 80s and 90s. It follows a woman drowning in an inherited debt to the Yakuza, she ends up a part-time assassin in order to pay what she owes! Part Time Shuffle is world filled with insane assassins trying to make a living, one kill at a time.

The fights are spectacle filled, dynamic, and so amazingly tension filled! They are paired with a story that has both moments of comedy and character depth, with subtle nods to pop culture that are a delight to spot.
