Survival horror game Dead by Daylight has grown to be a fan favorite. With its asymmetric gameplay serving as a love letter to horror slasher movies, it may be no shock that fans are very excited by the latest post the game has made on Instagram.
While proper details have been given yet, theories abound that this may be hinting at a Japanese themed ghoul or monster.
What some are saying is a traditional shoji (Japanese paper covered screen door/divider), is smeared with three blood stains that a few people are claiming is reminiscent of the Kanji for three. It all appears in a very short focus before darting away into the black. There is a chance this may be the latest movie tie-in for the game, which has managed to snag the rights to many horror legends featured as playable killers before. The theory is that it will be Sadako Yamamura from The Ring.
Dead by Daylight is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
