‘James Bond’ Producer Says It’s Time For A Black Bond

And they reportedly have Idris Elba in mind

As reported by The Daily Star, James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli believes it is time for a black actor to take on the iconic role of James Bond as revealed by director Antoine Fuqua.

This follows reports that famed British actor Idris Elba is being heavily considered for the role while ignoring Elba’s previous calling out that Bond should be a woman now.

Regardless if Elba ends up as next Bond following current Bond, Daniel Craig’s, retirement from the role, it is very clear that the series runners want a new approach to the world traveling super spy one man army.

The first James Bond novel was released in 1953. The first Bond film was released in 1962, starting a movie franchise that would go on to have 26 films with 12 actors playing bond over the past 56 years.
