Wield the power of the infinity gauntlet in Fortnite Battle Royale thanks to an upcoming crossover event with Avengers: Infinity War.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, starting May 8th, a new limited-run event, Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup mode for Fortnite will be available. Working like the game’s current iteration with a slight twist. The Infinity Gauntlet will appear on the map, with the player who snag the gauntlet becoming Thanos.

This comes alongside the revelation that the Russo brothers (co-directors of Avengers: Infinity War) are huge Fortnite fans, saying they played the game regularly while editing Infinity War.

The new mode will be available for all versions of Fortnite Battle Royale, with no end date to the event currently announced.
