As reported by Deadline, a live action series is being developed for fighter game franchise, Street Fighter. Being produced by production company Entertainment One and being worked on by the team that created the well-received 2014 web series/feature film Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist.
The new series will be based on the Street Fighter II: The World Warrior plot.
“…centering on four protagonists: Ryu, Ken, Guile and Chun-Li. Together, they fight to take down M. Bison, the evil mastermind who runs Shadaloo, a global criminal organization. Though on different journeys, our heroes’ paths will cross as they are drawn into the World Warrior Tournament, a competition devised by M. Bison to find the most powerful and capable fighter in the world. On the journey they come to share, they must draw on their strength, skills, intelligence and loyalty in a battle to survive and emerge as the World Warrior.”

the overall plot does sound like a dynamic team adventure. With no word on when we can expect this series, where it will air, and who they might have star in it, it still sounds like a TV series that will be a fun watch for fans if done right.
