VIZ Media Takes A Look Back At Team JNR Training With Team FNKI

As Viz Media continues to release RWBY Volumes on Blu-ray and Digital storefronts, they have been making sure to spotlight iconic moments, epic battles, and heart-wrenching scenes, the latest being a look back at when Team JNR trained with the dynamic superspeed and musically inclined Team FNKI from Atlas.

RWBY was created by the late Monty Oum and produced by Rooster Teeth Animation. Set in the fantastical world of Remnant, where evil creatures called “Grimm” ravage the land, it is up to Hunters, wielders of amazing elemental weapons, to protect those who can not defend themselves. The series follows the titular team RWBY, four very different girls who strive to be the best, as they team up and train to become Huntresses.

The series’ future was left uncertain after Rooster Teeth’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, failed to find a buyer for the production company, which was subsequently closed in 2024. RWBY wrapped up its 9th season in March 2024. In July 2024, VIZ Media announced it would continue the series.
