Tick, tock! The newest Disney Descendants movie, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, will premiere this summer, and Disney is offering a first look at the latest story for Red and Chloe.
“‘Descendants: Wicked Wonderland’ explores what “happily ever after” really means for Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe (Malia Baker) following their time-traveling adventures in the 2024 hit film ‘Descendants: The Rise of Red.’ Set primarily in present-day Wonderland with a host of new and familiar characters, this movie delves into the warning from the previous movie: There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time.”

Descendants is a musical fantasy film series following the children of famous Disney characters as they navigate their parents’ legacies and their own choices. The original film debuted in 2015 and followed the teenage children of Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent, Snow White’s The Evil Queen, Aladdin’s Jafar, and 101 Dalmatians’ Cruella de Vil, respectively, as they try to integrate into life outside of the prison colony they grew up in. The film was received well and would be the start of a franchise that would include several direct sequels, an animated spin-off, TV specials, and books.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland is a direct sequel to Descendants: The Rise of Red and is the fifth film in the Descendants franchise. It is directed by Kimmy Gatewood and written by Tamara Chestna, Dan Frey, and Ru Sommer. It stars Kylie Cantrall as Red (the daughter of Alice in Wonderland’s Queen of Hearts) and Malia Baker as Chloe Charming (the daughter of Cinderella and King Charming) as they deal with the consequences of their previous time-travel adventures. The cast also includes Leonardo Nam, Liamani Segura, Brendon Tremblay, Alexandro Byrd, Kiara Romero, Joel Qulette, Zavien Garrett, Ryan McEwen, Rita Ora, Brandy, and Melanie Paxson.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland will premiere this summer on the Disney Channel and Disney+. You can check out the previous entries on Disney+.
