Volume one of the supernatural action-comedy series Nue’s Exorcist will be released in North America next month, telling the story of a reluctant exorcist and the spirit he is forced to make a contract with.
“Outcast Gakuro Yajima’s only goal in life has been to avoid spirits and try to live in peace. One day, he accidentally enters a sealed room and meets Nue, a quirky spirit who asks him to defeat the evil ones roaming his school. Gakuro is reluctant to take her up on the offer, but the spirits won’t be waiting patiently for him to make up his mind…”

Nue’s Exorcist is written and illustrated by Kota Kowae and serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The series follows Gakuro Yajima, a young man who can see spirits but is reluctant to interact with them following a tragic incident. Forced to enter a contract with a spirit named Nue, Gakuro’s new goal becomes defeating evil spirits in his school.
