There is still time to back the official Abe from Oddworld action figure on Kickstarter

Oddworld’s Abe has been a freedom fighter and messiah for his people. Later this year, he will add the action figure title to his resume with a (successfully funded) Kickstarter collaboration between Oddworld developer Oddworld Inhabitants and independent artist brand Gametee.

The Abe officially licensed 5-inch articulated action figure depicts everyone’s favorite Mudokon and his adorableness. The action figure promises to be highly detailed and will feature ten points of articulation. Thanks to backers, it will also include a swappable “shocked” head. This isn’t the first time that Gametee has worked with Oddworld Inhabitants to create official merch for the iconic series.

A signed and autographed postcard from Sherry McKenna and Lorne Lanning will be randomly gifted to 100 lucky backers. This is a fun collectible for fans of the series.

Oddworld is a video game franchise created by the developer Oddworld Inhabitants under the direction of Lorne Lanning. Set on Oddworld, a bizarre and harsh planet filled with dangerous creatures and mysterious prophecies, Abe was introduced as the main character in Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee in 1997. An enslaved person in a meat-packing plant, Abe breaks free and tries to save his people when he learns that they will be turned into food. The franchise would continue Abe’s adventures alongside other protagonists, the focus often being themes of nature vs. industrialization, corporate abuse, spirituality, and the abuse of Indigenous people, all paired with striking visuals and a fun sense of humor.
