No. 9 continues the rampage as a new threat arrives in ‘Kaiju No. 8’ Volume 13

Kaiju No. 9 emerges, and a new creature will debut in Kaiju No. 8 volume 13 next month.

“Mina Ashiro falls into the clutches of Kaiju No. 9 after its emergence in Tachikawa. Kafka goes to rescue her, but daikaiju start emerging in several places across the city, impeding his progress. The situation becomes even more complicated when he picks up on a new kaiju presence and a never-before-seen entity reveals itself!”

Kaiju No. 8 is a science fiction action series written and illustrated by Naoya Matsumoto and published by Shueisha in Japan and Viz Media in Japan. Set in a world where cities are regularly attacked by creatures called Kaiju, the series follows Kafka Hibino, who, after digesting a mysterious parasite, is able to turn into a Kaiju. The series is praised for its intense action, monster designs, and characters.

Kaiju No. 8 was later adapted into an anime series directed by Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya. The series is written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with music by Yuta Bandoh and animation by Production I.G.
