It should be no shock that Sonic the Hedgehog has a long history of racing spin-offs. From the unique experience of Sonic R to the amazingly well-received Sonic & Sega All-Star kart racers, and the imaginative Team Sonic Racing, the Blue Blur and racing go hand in hand. The official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel has examined the history of Sonic racing games in a new video narrated by SamProcrastinates in preparation for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a kart racing game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. The game has players racing and collecting power-ups in an effort to come out on top. With a roster filled with Sonic, his friends, and enemies, you can choose their personal vehicles or make your own using collectible parts sourced from unlocks while driving across racetracks featuring portals to other worlds.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.
