Sentai Filmworks has announced that it will release the slice-of-life romance anime series Insomniacs After School on Blu-ray next month.
Insomniacs After School began as a manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Ojiro and published by Shogakukan. The series follows two high school students who have insomnia; they bond over their difficulties and a desire to reform their School’s astronomy club. The series would be adapted into an anime directed by Yūki Ikeda and written by Rintarō Ikeda, with music by Yuki Hayashi and animation by Liden Films. The Japanese voice cast stars Gen Satō & Konomi Tamura. The English voice stars are Jad Saxton & Adam Gibbs. A live-action film based on the series was released in 2023. It was directed by Chihiro Ikeda, with a screenplay by Ikeda and Izumi Takahashi, music by Nobuaki Shinzawa, and production by United Productions. It starred Nana Mori and Daiken Okudaira.
The Insomniacs After School Complete Collection Blu-ray set includes all 13 episodes with English, English SDH, and Japanese with English subtitles audio options. Extras include textless versions of the opening and closing animations.
