Season 1 of “The Dangers in My Heart” is getting a limited edition steelbook Blu-ray release

The first season of the rom-com slice-of-life anime series The Dangers in My Heart is getting a limited edition steelbook release next month.

“Kyotaro Ichikawa occupies the lowest rung on his school’s social ladder. The self-described lone wolf fancies he’s one bad day away from a meltdown, and this wannabe troubled teen daydreams of ways to disrupt class and shatter his peers’ peaceful school lives… but even this bad egg feels his heart skip a beat around Anna Yamada, his gorgeous classmate who’s as goofy as Kyotaro is gloomy! Turns out Anna and Kyotaro are two oddball peas in a pod, and neither of them are who they appear to be at first glance. As facades fade and their true selves emerge, will Kyotaro and Anna defy their expectations of each other — and of themselves?”

The Dangers in My Heart is a manga series written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai. It is the story of a loner student who researches morbid topics and murders and becomes friends with the most popular girl in his class. The anime adaptation is directed by Hiroaki Akagi, written by Jukki Hanada, with music by Kensuke Ushio and animation by Shin-Ei Animation. It premiered in 2023, with its second season airing in early 2024.

The steelbook edition will include episodes 1-12 of the first season in English, English SDH, and Japanese with English subtitles audio options. Special features include textless versions of the opening and closing animations, web previews, and a 48-page booklet, all inside a limited edition steelbook with a slipcover. It is a limited print run, available for pre-order while supplies last.

The Dangers in My Heart season 1 limited edition steelbook will be released on May 27, 2025. You can pre-order it now from Sentai Filmworks.
