Anime Film ‘The Colors Within’ Is Getting A Blu-ray, Steelbook, and Digital Download Release This May

Pre-orders are now open for the steelbook, Blu-ray/DVD, and digital download versions of the anime film The Colors Within.

“Totsuko is a high school student with the ability to see the ‘colors’ of others. Colors of bliss, excitement, and serenity, plus a color she treasures as her favorite. Kimi, a classmate at her school, gives off the most beautiful color of all. Although she doesn’t play an instrument, Totsuko forms a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. As they practice at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and stirring affections. Will they discover their true ‘colors’?”

The Colors Within is a 2024 anime drama film directed by Naoko Yamada and produced by Science Saru. It is the story of teenager Totsuko Higurashi, her ability to see people as colors, her connection with a classmate and a boy who collects instruments, and their emotional journey together. The movie was written by Reiko Yoshida, with music by Kensuke Ushio. The Japanese voice cast includes Akari Takaishi, Sayu Suzukawa, Taisei Kido, and Yui Aragaki. The English voice cast includes Kylie McNeill, Libby Rue, Eddy Lee, and Eileen Stevens.

The home release includes the movie with English and Japanese audio options. Subtitle options include English, English SDH, French, and Spanish.
