Peacock’s Twisted Metal was a fast-paced live-action series that had fans wanting more! The wait is nearly over, as season 2 will start this summer.
“Following the revelations in the season one finale, John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly TWISTED METAL tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.”

Twisted Metal is a post-apocalyptic action-comedy series based on the vehicular combat game of the same name. It follows John Doe (played by Anthony Mackie), a delivery driver in a destroyed United States. The series cast includes Mackie alongside Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett, Joe Seanoa, Richard Cabral, Jared Bankens, Neve Campbell, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Jamie Neumann, Diany Rodriguez, Angel Giuffria, Chelle Ramos, and Michael Carollo. Season 2 will add Richard de Klerk, Tiana Okoye, Michael James Shaw, and Anthony Carrigan.
Twisted Metal is a vehicular combat game series created by David Jaffe and Scott Campbell. The first game was released in 1995. Each entry in the franchise focuses on characters participating in an extreme demolition derby. The last driver alive wins a wish from the derby’s powerful host, Calypso. The franchise was well-received and considered a cult classic, though game-wise, it has remained dormant since its last entry in 2012.
