The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-, an upcoming tactical role-playing game from Kazutaka Kodaka (the creator of Danganronpa) & Kotaro Uchikoshi (the director and writer of the Zero Escape series), is nearly here and is giving fans a peek with new character trailers.

“Takumi is in Last Defense Academy, a colossal school in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a wall of otherworldly flames. He and 14 other students have been drafted into the Special Defense Unit, a team tasked with keeping the school safe for the next 100 days. Initiated students transform their blood into the mysterious Hemoanima, a unique type of mutated blood which provides supernatural abilities. How much are they willing to sacrifice to take back their normal lives and save the world from the grotesque school invaders? The curtain rises on 100 days of war and despair…”
The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- is a tactical RPG with visual novel elements. Players will explore the academy and attempt to solve the mystery of its creation while forming squads from the game’s roster of 17 characters to fight against an invading force.
The game is being planned by Too Kyo Games, developed by Media.Vision, with the Nintendo Switch version published by XSEED Games for the Nintendo Switch, and Aniplex handling the Steam release. Its development staff includes Kazutaka Kodaka & Kotaro Uchikoshi as directors and scenario designers, character designs by Rui Komatsuzaki (who worked on Danganronpa), creature designs by Shimadoriru (who previously worked on Fate Grand Order & Chaos Dragon), and Masafumi Takada as audio director (who has previously worked on Danganronpa and No More Heroes).
The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- will be released on April 23, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. You can pre-order it now.
