“Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-” heads to theaters on February 28th

Get ready to suit up! Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, the latest movie in the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, is heading to North American theaters on February 28th.

“Amate Yuzuriha is a high-school student living peacefully in a space colony floating in outer space. When she meets a war refugee named Nyaan, Amate is drawn into the illegal mobile suit dueling sport known as Clan Battle.

Under the entry name “Machu,” she throws herself into fierce battle day after day, piloting the GQuuuuuuX. Then an unidentified Gundam mobile suit pursued by both the space force and the police appears before her, along with its pilot, a boy named Shuji.

Now their world is about to enter a new era.”

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning tells the story of Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl pulled into illegal mobile suit dueling. Her life is thrown into further chaos after the arrival of a mysterious pilot named Shuji. The movie is the first major collaboration between Khara, the studio behind Evangelion, and Mobile Suit Gundam animation studio Sunrise. It is directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL), with a screenplay co-written by Yoji Enokido (Revolutionary Girl Utena) and Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- will be in select theaters on February 28, 2025, with IMAX Early Access screenings set for February 26. You can learn more and secure your spot by visiting the official site.
