VIZ Media has announced that the iconic manga series Kingdom will make its official English language debut this year!
Kingdom is a manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara and serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2006. Set during China’s Warring States Period, it follows Xin, a war orphan who dreams of becoming a great general. The series has been well received and has earned the title of one of the best-selling manga series of all time, with over 110 million copies in circulation as of December 2024. It would get an anime adaption by animation studio Pierrot from 2012 – 2024 and a four-part live-action film series.
