Anime series “My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu” heads to Blu-ray next month

The anime rom-com My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu will be released on Blu-ray next month, packed with three seasons of anime romance hijinks and special features!

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (Seasons 1-3) Complete Collection Blu-ray includes all three seasons with English and Japanese with English subtitle audio options. Extras include textless versions of the opening & closing animations, a special opening animation, and Japanese promo videos. All spread across a six-disc set adorned with adorable character art!

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU is based on Wataru Watari’s light novel series My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, as I Expected. The light novels were illustrated by Ponkan 8. The series follows two high school students, both loners, who are forced to join a school club that offers advice to other students. Each situation is a comedic interpretation of a typical teenager’s problems while examining why those things may happen.

The anime adaptation began in 2013. The first season was directed by Ai Yoshimura, with series composition by Shōtarō Suga, character designs by Yū Shindō, art direction by Shigemi Ikeda, music by Monaca, and animation by Brain’s Base. The series’ second season, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Too!, was directed by Kei Oikawa, with character designs by Yuichi Tanaka and animation by Feel. Season three was titled My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax, and added Keiichirō Ōchi to handle the series composition (replacing Shōtarō Suga, who passed away in 2015).
