Yu-Gi-Oh! began as a manga series written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi and published in Shueisha’s Jump Comics. The series followed Yugi Mutou, a young man skilled at playing games, who, after solving an ancient Egyptian artifact called the Millennium Puzzle, shares his body with the spirit of a Pharaoh. The pair and their friends are then pulled into the schemes of other Millennium item holders, their dangerous shadow games, and a card game called Duel Monsters.
The series would go on to become a global phenomenon, with numerous spin-offs/sequel series running to this very day. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime series celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! EARLY DAYS COLLECTION will be available on February 27, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
The physical Edition of the Nintendo Switch version will randomly include either a Harpie’s Feather Duster or Alternative Art Version of Harpie’s Feather Duster. (These cards are only available in the U.S. and European versions of the game. Japan will be receiving different bonus cards. Learn more here.)
