At this year’s New York Comic Con, we got to catch up with Atsuko, checking out their new apparel and convention exclusives, and ask about their design philosophy!

Atsuko is an apparel line highlighting Japanese culture and fandom, with pieces based on fan-favorite anime titles! The focus for them at NYCC 2024 was on pieces based on One Piece and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, two of the most popular anime/manga series.

Atsuko’s apparel is a brilliant mix of unique styles, functionality, and fandom, creating stylish clothes with subtle hints of characters and some featuring modular parts. The NYCC exclusive was a special hoodie based on Luffy’s jacket from the series Egghead Island arc.

It is a fun piece that takes Straw Hat Luffy’s red jacket look and uses it to create a new design that will make you look good!
