TERMINATOR ZERO, the highly anticipated anime set in the Terminator universe, is nearly here, and a new trailer was revealed during this year’s Anime NYC!

Terminator Zero is an eight-episode series that will tell the story of Malcolm Lee’s time in Japan developing an AI, and the Terminator sent back in time to stop him. It is written and developed by Mattson Tomlin (who is also acting as its showrunner), directed by Masashi Kudō, and produced by Production I.G & Skydance Television. It stars Timothy Olyphant, André Holland, Sonoya Mizuno, Rosario Dawson, and Ann Dowd.
The first Terminator movie was released in 1984 and is a time-traveling sci-fi series following the efforts of Sarah Conner to survive the assassination attempts of a relentless robot who wants to stop her son from being born and fulfilling his role in defeating the killer AI: Skynet. The movie would begin a franchise that includes movies, comics, games, TV shows, and more.
A new action-packed anime series set in the classic science-fiction world of The Terminator! Terminator Zero will premiere on August 29th (Judgement Day in the franchise) only on Netflix.
