Get a first-look at the upcoming ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ sequel series in a new video

The Disney Channel has shared a first-look at its newest Disney Channel series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place! A sequel series taking us back to the magical world of the Russo family.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is the sequel series to the original Wizards of Waverly Place. It has David Henrie reprising his role as Justin Russo, and Selena Gomez guesting staring as her character, Alex Russo, in the pilot episode, as well as serving as the executive producer for the series. The full series cast includes Mimi Gianopulos, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Janice LeAnn Brown, and Taylor Cora.

The Wizards of Waverly Place was a Disney Channel original comedy that focused on the Russo Family, the three children being wizards who have to one day compete to see who gets to keep their powers since only one wizard is allowed in each family. The series ran for four seasons and is credited with helping to further launch the career of Selena Gomez.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will premiere later in 2024 on Disney+ (where you can watch the original series and its specials and movie) and the Disney Channel.
