The last chapter of My Hero Academia is here, and while this may be the last we see of Deku and his friends’ story (at least for a while), it seems this isn’t the end of their journey.
My Hero Academia is a manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. In a world where people are born with unique superpowers called quirks, the story follows young Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, who, despite being born without a quirk, dreams of being a hero like his idol and the world’s greatest hero, All Might. But a unique encounter not only gives Midoriya a quirk but lets him enroll in a special high school for those dreaming of becoming a hero, just in time for the hero-in-training to uncover a dangerous scheme that threatens the world. MHA would later get an anime adaptation, spin-offs, live-action stage shows, theatrical films, games, and more, and currently is one of the best-selling franchises of all time.
The completion of the manga is sure not to be the end for new My Hero Academia stories as the anime is continuing, the continuation of the spin-off manga series World Heroes’ Missions, and the recently released movie, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, not yet having a North American release date.
Big thanks to Kōhei Horikoshi for creating such an amazing story and inspiring us to “Go Beyond Plus Ultra!”
You can read My Hero Academia over on Viz’s Shonen Jump site and on the official app. Viz is also where you can pick up the series manga volumes. You stream the anime over on Crunchyroll.
