The Digimon anime cast & staff are celebrating the 25th anniversary with a special livestream and video

The Digimon anime series celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and to commemorate the event, there will be a special gathering in Odaiba, Tokyo Bay, Japan, that will be livestreamed and will feature cast and staff from the series looking back on the series, as well as the debut of a Digimon Adventure 25th Anniversary Special PV.

Digimon Adventure premiered on March 7, 1999, and was based on the Digital Monster virtual pet created by WiZ and Bandai, who produced the anime in cooperation with Toei Animation and Fuji Television. The series tells the story of several children who, after coming across mysterious Digivices, are transported to the “Digital World” and quickly befriend a group of Digital Monsters or Digimon. They must now survive, using their Digivices to Digivolve their new partner Digimon to fight powerful enemies and reveal their destiny. The series was a smash hit, getting a theatrical movie and being the start of a long-running anime franchise set in the world of Digimon.

The Digimon 25th anniversary livestream will begin Tomorrow, August 1st, 2024, @ 6:30 JST, 5:30 AM ET, and 2:30 AM PT on the official Japanese Digimon YouTube Channel. Don’t worry if you’re going to miss the livestream, as they will be uploading the VOD later.
