Here we go!! A live-action “Totally Spies!” series in development at Amazon, with Will Ferrell attached as a producer

HERE WE GO! Variety has reported that a live-action TV series based on Totally Spies! is in development at Amazon, with Will Ferrell attached as an executive producer.

Totally Spies! is an animated spy-fi series created by Vincent Chalvon-Demersay and David Michel. It follows three teenage girls working as spies for the World Organization of Human Protection (W.O.O.H.P.), tackling missions using undercover work, hidden gadgets, and martial arts while trying to balance their regular lives. Totally Spies! initially ran from 2002 to 2007, continuing its story with a movie, before returning for a one-season revival in 2013. There is also a spin-off titled The Amazing Spiez!, that featured a crossover with the original girls, as well as a crossover with Martin Mystery. Totally Spies! has a cult following, with its fans cherishing its unique style, anime-inspired aesthetic, and fun cast of main characters. We recently covered the seventh season’s premiere.

The live-action series will be a YA adaptation, focusing on the spies as they enter their first year of college. It has Will Ferrell attached as an executive producer, and is a collaboration between Amazon MGM studios and Banijay Kids & Family (the production company behind the animated series).
