This year’s Studio Ghibli Fest continues to bring fan-favorite movies from the iconic studio, with the July film set to be Princess Mononoke!

Princess Mononoke was released in 1997. Set in the Muromachi period of Japan, it is a fantasy story following a prince, who, after being dragged into a conflict between the gods and local villagers, encounters a mysterious woman raised by wolves. The two must work together to an stop all-out war that threatens to destroy an entire forest region. The movie was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, with music by Joe Hisaishi, and animation by Studio Ghibli.
The Studio Ghibli screenings of Princess Mononoke will run July 13-17 and will be available in English and Japanese with English subtitle options.
Studio Ghibli Fest is an annual film screening series held by Fathom Events, where they bring the much-loved anime studio’s films to North American theaters.
