Netflix has scored a hole-in-one with the announcement that the anime adaptation of Rising Impact will be heading to the streaming platform.
Rising Impact is a manga series by written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki (the creator of The Seven Deadly Sins) and was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1996 to 2002. The series follows a boy who, after discovering golf, heads to the prestigious Camelot Academy to become the best long-hitter in the world. He will just have to be careful around the academy’s other students and teachers.
The anime adaptation is directed by Hitoshi Nanba, written by Michihiro Tsuchiya, with music by Masaru Yokoyama, character designs by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, and production by Lay-duce, Inc.
Rising Impact season 1 will premiere on Netflix on June 22, with season 2 premiering on August 6.
